After quickly unloading your belongings into the all-level elevator for a ride upstairs, escape to the impressive outdoor entertainment area. The private swimming pool has a constructed-in wet deck for calming in the sun while getting your feet wet and a constructed-in kiddie pool so you can also keep a close eye on the little ones. Sidle up to the poolside lounge area with Tiki bar for a cool drink, take a dip in the bubbly hot tub, or daydream in the shaded under-home area with seating, and ping pong table while dinner sizzles on the close by grilles.

A half bath is available just inside the home for fast trips in from the pool and beach. When to book & When to go:

• The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.

You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at Hatteras restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
• Some property managers offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection.
