If SEA WHISPER is unavailable for your preferred week, its twin home, #369 Sea Mist, just may be ready to welcome you. From the moment you arrive, SEA WHISPER’S beachfront location and all the amenities of this broad four-story home reminds you why vacations are meant to be shared with those you appreciate. The cavernous pool area is ideal for lazy days of outdoor fun with an 18'x37' pool, sizable enough for the entire group, a 1,200-square-foot sunbathing deck and convenient cabana half-bath. Bluetooth-enabled speakers let you connect to a soundtrack that meets the moment. Take a break from the sun’s rays in the adjacent screened-in porch with a generous eight-person hot tub, or step inside to the game room, featuring a pool table, wet bar with mini-refrigerator and microwave, and enormous flat screen TV, DVD/CD with sound bar where you can amp up your playlist to an appropriate event vibe.

Thoughtful conveniences abound including an all-level elevator, accessible-friendly powder rooms on each level as well as mini-ramps onto exterior decks, and a spare dishwasher and full-size refrigerator in the lower-level laundry room. Plus, each of the home’s nine bedrooms has its own private bathroom and TV/DVD. Two of those master bedrooms, each with two queen beds, are on the first level. Four king master bedrooms occupy the second level, one of which is mobility-friendly with a roll-in shower; one opens to the deck with ocean vistas, and another opens to a screened-in porch, ideal for morning coffee while watching the dolphins frolic in the ocean. Discover why everybody is drawn to the spectacular third level great room with sweeping vistas and plenty of space to relax and savor your favorite film or catch a game on the 65" curved screen, complete with WiFi enabled home theater system, Blu-ray player, and Bluetooth-enabled sound bar. There is room for more than one prepare in the roomy gourmet kitchen that has two cooktops and three ovens, and double dishwashers for painless cleanup. Located in Frisco, this vacation home is on the beach. Scotch Bonnet Marina and Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Frisco Native American Museum and Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum. Buxton Seafood and Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Money saving strategies:

  • June, July, and August are high season in the Hatteras area. Booking in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable properties.
  • Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
