Step outside and relish in the sunshine and ocean breezes by the glistening pool, or savor a tasty family cookout and a game of bean bag toss on the grassy lawn. If shade is your preference, gather under the roomy shaded deck or Tiki bar and grille area with a refrigerator, sink, TV and stereo. At day’s end, relax in the hot tub or venture in to the 12-seat theater room boasting a 110” projection screen with surround sound, cable, Neftlix and a BluRay player equipped with WiFi. Ready to go upstairs? Take the elevator to the 2nd level where you’ll find 5 inviting bedrooms, 4 open to sound or oceanfront decks and flat screen TV/DVDs (1 with cable and 4 with Intelligent TVs). There are 3 king master bedrooms, all with private bathrooms, 1 with handicap friendly roll-in shower. Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Sticking to a spending plan:

• In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
• Summer is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
• Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

• Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
