From there, you'll have effortless access to the beach where you can spend the day swimming, surfing, fishing or shelling - the possibilities for around-the-clock oceanfront fun are countless. Back at the home, the open-concept layout in the great room accepts everybody to admire the unobstructed ocean vistas. Upgrades include vaulted ceilings, a comfortable gas fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase the view. French doors lead to a rec room located right off the main living area, furnished with a pool table for some friendly competition and indoor entertainment. The chef in your group will appreciate the well-equipped kitchen with island for plenty of prep space. Handsome wood floors flow throughout the top level, including the primary bedroom. Located at the east end of Shore Drive, Ocean Crest offers a central location where you'll be just mins. from the very best Rodanthe has to offer. If you need a break from the beach, take a trip back in time at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Museum. Reel in the catch of the day from the Hatteras Island Fishing Pier, or savor the other side of the island with a variety of watersport activities in the Pamlico Sound.

Please note that the daily effects of winds, waves, tides and storms have contributed to coastal erosion impacts at Cape Hatteras National Seashore, particularly adjacent to the villages of Rodanthe and Buxton. The effects of erosion in these towns result in dynamic and unpredictable changes to the dune line, which may unexpectedly affect beach access. Guests may need to utilize alternate beach access points during their stay.
