Say hello to this impressive Island hideaway. Unwind and kick back in The Sand Jewel, an updated, well-maintained, 3,800-square-foot oceanfront home in exclusive Kinnakeet Shores.

The ground level has concrete parking with three carports, a fish-cleaning station, an outdoor shower, a new basketball hoop, and a beach boardwalk. The first level has a furnished game room with a refinished pool table, a foosball table, and an entertainment center.

On the second level, savor oceanfront vistas from two bedrooms with private access to the sizeable furnished wraparound with a porch swing. Two primary bedrooms also have deck access, including one with a private bathroom with a roll-in shower, grab bars, and a roll-up vanity. You'll want to relax in the sunken hot tub just outside these rooms on the covered deck. The laundry area has a convenient washer/dryer.

As you reach the third level, appreciate the great room with vaulted ceilings, a half-bath, a wet bar with a new under-counter refrigerator, and miles of oceanfront glass. This cavernous room features fresh furnishings, tile, and updated beach decor, highlighting the living and entertainment area loaded with a digital widescreen TV for everybody to enjoy. The well-equipped kitchen has stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and glass backsplash, a enormous bar, and a captivating oceanfront dining area. The third main bedroom features a Jacuzzi tub.

Melt in the wide 10-foot furnished sundecks, prepare your favorite burgers, steaks, and seafood on the new gas grille, or cool down under the covered deck. The picnic table provides the ideal place to share your favorite grilled seafood or a bushel or two of crabs!

Additional interior amenities include an elevator from the ground level, beach gear, and a great collection of board games.

When you need a break from the beach, enjoy access to the Club Hatteras pool and tennis court. The Sand Jewel is the ideal place to relax with family and friends on your next Hatteras Island vacation, with close beach access, handsome ocean vistas, and plenty of amenities!

Things to Know

The pool is open seasonally from April through the first week of October. Dates are subject to change.

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in the Hatteras area. To find the most suitable rental within budget, we suggest reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses.   • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent ratings to stimulate more reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best vacation rental. Remember to be objective.
