The call of the waves lets you know the ocean beach is just steps away. But the home’s private pool is even closer, a calming setting with loungers, tiki bar with two constructed-in coolers, and an outdoor table. There’s both a gas and charcoal grille close by to appease a hungry crowd, a basketball goal to satisfy the restless and two outdoor showers for a convenient rinse-off. Inside, on the ground level, is a laundry room and a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds for the kids.

A flight of steps up reveals a master king bedroom with full bath. Climb the stairs to the second level and discover three more bedrooms: a master king suite, and a king with a balcony that shares a hallway bath with a queen. A deck on this level beckons with two hammock swings to while away a lazy afternoon and features a covered seven-person hot tub.   • The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Some hosts offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance.
