The top level features the great room with entirely equipped kitchen with double sinks, gas cooktop and separate double wall ovens and close by screened porch with fresh teak furnishings. The roomy great room features a professional home theater system with a 65" flat screen TV/ BluRay/Receiver combo. The spacious master suite includes a bathroom complete with a 4ft x 5ft 2-headed shower and a separate Jacuzzi tub. And to top it all off, you can savor the ocean and sound vistas from the loft. With all the space in this home, everybody can find a place to themselves to be as "complimentary as a bird"!

• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Salvo. Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.

• Property managers typically offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. • Go through the rental one final time and look for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
