SEMI-OCEANFRONT Salvo - Colony Dr. Come savor this cavernous, gorgeously decorated home located only one lot back from the ocean in fashionable Hatteras Colony. Just like the classic song, FREEBIRD has everything to provide an memorable experience! The first floor features a game room complete with 55" HDTV, professional home theater system with surround sound, pool table, and wet bar with full size refrigerator and microwave - ideal for late nighttime or rainy day fun. The game room has access to the broad decking that overlooks the shining pool. Imagine you're on your own exotic island as you sit comfortably in the poolside furnishings by your Tiki Bar (complete with a sink, ice machine and modest refrigerator, poolside cabana bathroom and outside shower) and listening to your favorite music piped through poolside speakers. Also, on the first floor is a bedroom with two pyramid bunk beds and full bath. On the second floor you'll find four master suites, convenient laundry room with sink, a den complete with TV. The top level features the great room with entirely equipped kitchen with double sinks, gas cooktop and separate double wall ovens and close by screened porch with modren teak furnishings. The roomy great room features a professional home theater system with a 65" flat screen TV/ BluRay/Receiver combo. The spacious master suite includes a bathroom complete with a 4ft x 5ft 2-headed shower and a separate Jacuzzi tub. And to top it all off, you can appreciate the ocean and sound vistas from the loft. With all the space in this home, everybody can find a place to themselves to be as "complimentary as a bird"!

When to visit Salvo & When to book:

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To get the best value, shift your family's Hatteras trip dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra fuel expenses.   • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your stay, note any problem areas during check in. message the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
