OCEANFRONT Avon- Kinnakeet Shores - The flavor of the island awaits you in this enchanting getaway amid the rolling dunes. Start off your vacation with a dip in the 12' x 25' private swimming pool. An all weather entry leads to the first level with two bedrooms and a bath (the bunk room features a flat screen TV and DVD). The second level has four bedrooms and three baths, including 2 master suites (both with flat screen TVs and DVDs) that open to a shaded oceanside deck and bubbly hot tub. The third level great room with cathedral ceiling provides exceptional Atlantic vistas and generous space for entertaining, dining, or just calming after a great day on the water. Your family will savor watching the flat screen TV with DVD. The fourth floor ship’s watch with wet bar, mini-refrigerator, and private deck will make you the envy of the beach as you appreciate some of Avon's best ocean and sound vistas. (Fireplace seen in photos is not available for guest use.)

Sticking to your budget:

  • Summer is the most expensive season in Avon. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses.   • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
