As you would expect from a home named ISLAND BREEZE, the outdoor areas are plentiful and provide many options for enjoyment, including a volleyball net set up in a grassy area, a grilling deck with constructed-in benches and tables, a sizable pool deck with lounges surrounding the shining private pool which offers complimentary solar heat, hot tub, three decks offering vistas of the surrounding village, and the blue waters of both the ocean and the sound, and a huge screened porch with outdoor dining table and seating.
Enter the home through the dry entry into the first level where you’ll find a fun kid's bedroom with pyramid bunk and hideaway trundle, a full bath and the game room with foosball table, wet bar with full size refrigerator and microwave, and couch bed couch in front of a flat screen TV home theater system with surround sound, Blu-ray player and iPod docking stereo. The pool area is just outside the slider from the game room. The mid-level is home to three master bedrooms (queen, queen, king) each with a private bath - one of the queen baths has a Jacuzzi tub. The final master bedroom is located on the top level of the home and has a king bed, pretty view of the sound and private bath with Jacuzzi tub. All bedrooms have flat screen Intelligent TVs.
The great room provides comfortable seating for the entire group around the huge flat screen TV home theater system with surround sound and Blu-ray player which also has speakers on the top deck and in the screened porch. The kitchen is roomy and well-appointed with conveniences for the cooks along with a breakfast bar with stools for four next to the enormous dining table for ten. There is also another table in the great room that seats another four. Step out onto the top deck with seating for four overlooking the hot tub and grilling area, for a bird's eye view.

- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches. You will need to establish what configuration is optimal for your family.
- Are you bringing the family pet? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your agreement.
- If there's a certain Hatteras destination you long to visit, browse rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Some things to know before you go:
- We recommend storing the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents a lot of difficulties.
- Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
- Note any issues with the property at check in, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
