Appreciate an afternoon at the theater without stepping outside in your personal theater room with flat-screen TV and surround sound. For a little friendly family competition, head over to the game room with pool table, foosball table, flat screen TV with surround sound, and full kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave for a beach snack. When it's time for a good nighttime's rest, take your pick of three bedrooms on the second level: one master with two double beds, one king master with handicap friendly bathroom with roll-under sink and roll-in shower, and one with two bunk beds that shares a semi-private bath with the den, which offers a day bed with trundle and LCD TV. All rooms on this level have access to the deck. Head upstairs to the third level great room, where the family gourmand will be right at home in the grandiose kitchen with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances and double dishwashers. How to get the best Rodanthe vacation home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in Rodanthe. To find the best value, shift your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warm temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.
