• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To get the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Hatteras restaurants, beaches, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
• The earlier you can book a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
• Some hosts offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
• Property managers typically offer guests an option to add vacation insurance.
