OCEANFRONT Waves - Bold Dune Drive - From the vantage at TOPGALLANT, you'll get awe-inspiring vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and Pamlico Sound and get a feel for how narrow the island really is.

The ground floor of this home features two covered carports, a dry entry, two hot/cold enclosed outdoor showers, an outdoor half bath and laundry room. The first floor includes two master suites with private baths and two other bedrooms that share a semi-private hall bath. The two oceanside bedrooms open onto the shaded wrap-around deck, including a bubbly hot tub on the southwest corner. On the top level is an enormous great room facing the ocean with cathedral ceiling.

A wide oceanfront sundeck with vistas galore wraps around to the side of the home and a screened porch on the southwest corner next to the dining area. The kitchen has a wide breakfast bar for casual breakfasts and lunches. Of course, the sizable spiral staircase and ship's watch/tower with ocean to sound vistas are the crowning jewels. The tower room with a twin daybed with trundle may be used as a fifth bedroom.

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Palisade Acres, a neighborhood in Waves. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Get the most from your budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.

  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance.   • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photographs of the property to record its condition.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective.
