OCEANFRONT Waves - Bold Dune Drive - From the vantage at TOPGALLANT, you'll get impressive vistas of the Atlantic Ocean and Pamlico Sound and get a feel for how narrow the island really is.
The ground floor of this home features two covered carports, a dry entry, two hot/cold enclosed outdoor showers, an outdoor half bath and laundry room. The first floor includes two master suites with private baths and two other bedrooms that share a semi-private hall bath. The two oceanside bedrooms open onto the shaded wrap-around deck, including a bubbly hot tub on the southwest corner. On the top level is an enormous great room facing the ocean with cathedral ceiling.
A wide oceanfront sundeck with vistas galore wraps around to the side of the home and a screened porch on the southwest corner next to the dining area. The kitchen has a wide breakfast bar for casual breakfasts and lunches. Of course, the enormous spiral staircase and ship's watch/tower with ocean to sound vistas are the crowning jewels. The tower room with a twin daybed with trundle may be used as a fifth bedroom.

Located on the beach, this vacation home is in Palisade Acres, a neighborhood in Waves. Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site and Museum and Studio 12 are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports. Hatteras Island Boardsports and Avon Fishing Pier are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

- Summer is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To book the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at Hatteras restaurants, tours, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Property managers frequently offer renters an option to add vacation insurance protection.
