The vistas — from sunrise to sunset with water visible from every window of the property — are all the inspiration you need when it comes to placating your restless or restful soul. The sky’s the limit!

Finest of all, HATTERAS COMFORT, with its four bedrooms, five full bathrooms, and one half-bath, surrounds you in just that - comfortable surroundings and thoughtful amenities to make every day a memorable one. Give into lazy days by the outdoor pool as the ocean surf sets the mood with a rhythmic serenade. Nearby is a fish-cleaning station, gas grille, outdoor shower and a grassy area to exercise the family dog. A convenient elevator accepts you to move in/out and access all four levels with ease.

On the first level discover a game room featuring a pool table, 55-inch Intelligent TV, surround sound stereo system and wet bar with a refrigerator, sink, and microwave. There’s also a pull-out sleeper couch on this level, laundry facilities and a full bath, not to mention oceanfront and soundfront decks with stair access to the swimming pool. On the second level find three of the home’s four bedrooms: a king master bedroom with a jetted tub and access to a deck; an oceanside queen master bedroom; and a sound side pyramid bunk room with deck access. All of the bedrooms feature private baths and Intelligent TVs. An eight-person hot tub on the oceanfront deck provides the ideal way to wind down each evening.

The fourth bedroom, a king master bedroom with a private deck, two-person jetted tub, and tiled waterfall shower is located on the third level. Just outside this bedroom is the home’s great room, an open space for your family to come together for memorable meals and moments. The kitchen is thoughtfully outfitted with everything you need to prepare up effortless meals and serve them at the eight-seat dining table. There’s an additional half-bath on this level and a comfortable great room featuring a 55-inch Intelligent TV to grab your attention unless the ocean or sound vistas win you over first. Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is on the beach. Outer Banks Beaches and Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum. Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

  • Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition.

If your property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
