Sitting just a block off the ocean, this four-bedroom/three-full and one-half-bath home offers a private family escape that will delight both adults and kids alike. A ground-level 14’x28’ private pool is the ideal place to splash away a day or relax in a chaise on the sunny deck. Not a pool day? Just inside, a den featuring a queen couch bed, 4-in-1 gaming table, refrigerator, and TV equipped with an Amazon Firestick offers an alternative respite. Three of the home’s comfortable bedrooms occupy the first floor: A king master with an ensuite bath along with a room with two double beds and another with a queen bed and bunk that share a full hallway bath. A wrap-around covered deck reveals a six-person hot tub, the ideal place for galaxy gazing or a calming soak as you watch the sun rise. The home’s fourth bedroom, a primary king, is on the second level. This room features a hottub tub and access to a private deck. Another deck and a screened-in porch are accessible from the great room, a gorgeous open area that brings everybody together for feasts, fun and games and those awesome memories that family vacations create. Located in Rodanthe, this vacation home is on the beach. Cape Hatteras National Seashore and Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports. - Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. - Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate new bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback.
