The first level is dedicated to dreams — the kind that come conveniently when you sleep in well-appointed comfort. One master bedroom features a king bed and a intelligent TV/DVD. Two additional rooms offer access to a screened-in porch: one with two bunk beds and another with a queen. Both have intelligent TVs/DVDs and share a full hallway bath. A second queen bedroom features a intelligent TV/DVD and private full bath.

The second level is superbly designed for family gatherings. Prep your fresh-catch-of-the-day in the bespoke-designed kitchen and savor it around the 10-seat dining table. Then, join in the great room to regale the day or stream a classic on the intelligent TV/DVD. The kitchen opens to a roomy deck and screened-in porch with sweeping ocean vistas and rolling ocean waves. New for 2024: Seashella will be dog friendly in 2024! Soak up the day's memories under the nighttime sky in the new 6-person hot tub. The existing bunk room will be converted into a king master with an ensuite bath. The single bedroom will now feature two sets of bunk beds. The upstairs bathroom is being split into a full bath for the king master, and a half bath for the great room. New great room furnishings.

Located in Avon, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve and Outer Banks Beaches, while Studio 12 and Kinnakeet Clay Works are cultural highlights. Get the most from your budget:

  • Summer is high season in the Hatteras area. To book the largest rental for your budget, we suggest booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.

  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Try a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your . Store the manager's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are valuable if damages are assessed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a wonderful time? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
