OCEANFRONT Buxton- South Tower Circle - This cavernous and comfortable home is a PURE JOY for enormous family groups. Savor great vistas of the lighthouse, just a short bicycle ride away. The steps to the beach and convenient outside showers makes for ideal beachy fun, or you can relax and soak away the day in the calming hot tub. Feel PURE JOY as you watch the waves through the sizable oceanfront windows! Excellent fishing, surfing, kiteboarding and windsurfing are at your doorstep. Ample supply of videos and reading material supplied for rainy days.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. You must notify Surf or Sound Realty of any damage that occurs during your occupancy or this coverage will be void. Coverage is effective at time of check-in and ends at time of check-out.

Located in Buxton, this vacation home is on the beach. Studio 12 and Kinnakeet Clay Works are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Buxton Seafood. When to visit & When to book:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer is the most expensive season in Buxton. To find the best value, shift your family's Hatteras vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer pleasant weather, , and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.

  • Property managers often offer guests an option to add trip insurance protection.
