The Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, with its black and white candy-cane stripes, is one of the most famous and recognizable lighthouses in the world. Protecting one of the most treacherous stretches of the Outer Banks, with a beam of light that spans 20 miles into the ocean, the lighthouse is also the world's tallest brick lighthouse at a staggering 208' ft. tall.
Vacationers will notice a handful of sailboats at every local Outer Banks port, either saddled up to the docks or breezing across the harbor, en route to the nearest sound for a cruise, or to the continent-spanning Intracoastal Waterway to continue a long coastal voyage. Out on the oceanfront deck, you will find a bubbly hot tub with striking ocean vistas, a covered outside picnic area, and deck furnishings. There is also a covered picnic table to enjoy your meals outdoors. Off the living area, you will find Bedroom #5, furnished with a King bed, chaise lounge, slider to the deck, and a skylight to watch the moon and stars as you go to sleep.
