You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
• The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
• Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
• Property managers often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. • Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
