How to get the best Waves rental home experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- The earlier your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Booking your Hatteras vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a discount.
- Property managers usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Hatteras area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitors guide magazines contain money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.
Narrow your Search:
- Select a group lead, select your vacation week, and select a budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Atlantic Dreams OBX Unwind in Our Pet-Friendly Oasis w\/ Mesmerizing Ocean Views! has 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, call the host before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to work out what bed configuration is best for your vacation group.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
- Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
Have a fantastic stay:
- Take a copy of the host's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, television set or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of problems.
- Lock your rental property while you're gone! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To ensure that no damages are linked to your stay, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the rental manager right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager is not available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
- Remember to leave a review! Hosts rely on great reviews to compel more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to fix it.
