This three-floor home has impressive vistas of the Atlantic Ocean from nearly every angle and private beach access to the most pristine beaches on Hatteras Island. The fun does not stop after a day at the beach...savor your own huge private pool area, hot tub, and game room, or relax on the sundecks to watch the ocean waves or to stargaze at the dark Hatteras Island nighttime sky. Daddy Mac's Beach Shack will have you returning for years to come!

Ground Level: Ground-level amenities include a cavernous pool area with charcoal and gas grilles, 2 outdoor showers with hot water, a fish cleaning table, a basketball hoop, and a driveway that accommodates up to 6 cars. As you enter the home, you are greeted by a roomy game room with a pool table, a cable TV, and a wet bar with a refrigerator and a microwave. There are also 2 bedrooms on this level. Bedroom #1 is a Queen bedroom with a TV and access to a full bathroom off the hallway. Bedroom #2 is a spacious King bedroom with an ensuite full bathroom, a TV, and access to the covered pool deck.

Mid Level: The middle level has an additional sitting area with a TV, 3 bedrooms, and a laundry area. Bedroom #3 is furnished with 2 Twin beds and bedroom #4 is furnished with a Queen bed and a TV. Bedrooms #3 and #4 share a spacious full bathroom. Bedroom #5 is a Queen bedroom with a TV and an attached private full bathroom. Bedrooms #4 and #5 appreciate ocean vistas with direct access to the oceanfront deck, hot tub, and hammock.

Top Level: As you make your way to the top floor, you are greeted by the spacious great room with high ceilings and sizable windows that provide plenty of light and ocean vistas! The top floor features a entirely refreshed, fully equipped, chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast bar that seats 3, and two dining tables that seat a total of 14. A half bathroom is also conveniently located off the kitchen area. The living area provides comfortable seating and a TV. Cavernous sun decks off the living and dining area give you front-row seats to the sunrise and spectacular vistas of the dunes, beach, and ocean.

Extras: Private pool, hot tub, private sand path beach access, 7 flat-screen TVs, WiFi, books, pool table, high chair, Keurig, hammock, gas and charcoal grilles, covered decks, sun decks, deck furnishings, parking for 6 cars, and linens and towels are supplied. Linens and towels are supplied all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep couches, top bunk beds, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are included. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

IMPORTANT BOOKING NOTES/ LEASE AGREEMENT/ ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL FEES: Please read the RENTAL AGREEMENT during the booking process. Immediately after booking you will receive an e-mail with instructions to electronically sign your lease agreement to complete your reservation.

Find your perfect rental:

  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Summertime is high season in the Hatteras area. To get the largest rental home within your budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you will need a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers charge additional pet fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the directions to your smartphone.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on good reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
