Two of the master bedrooms are connected to a Jack and Jill bathroom that has a opulent stand-up shower with a bench, where you can stand beneath cascading water coming from a ceiling waterfall shower. All three of the master bedrooms have ceiling fans, blinds/black-out curtains, and new 32-inch LG 4K Intelligent TVs mounted on the walls for your enjoyment. There are four decks off the home - one with a cushioned outdoor lounge area which is ideal for relaxing or reading a book, two facing the sand dune and ocean off the back of the home, where you can relax in one of the many Adirondack chairs, while listening to the waves or watching the kids play in the private pool. The last deck is screened in with a six-person dining area and foosball table. The 6-person hot tub ideally located on the top deck to watch sail boats pass by in the distance during the day or star-gaze at nighttime, while hearing the waves crash against the coast. The pool has the option of being heated to 88 degrees, to help make it even more fun, the cost for having the pool heated is $70 per day. Cape Hatteras National Seashore is known for its undeveloped pristine beaches which stretch for miles in either direction. There is plenty of space to sprawl out and enjoy a day at the beach. Keep an eye out for dolphins which occasionally visit. Rinse off in the outdoor shower under the home and enjoy a mid-day picnic at the huge picnic table under the home.

Booking the best rental experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Hatteras rental home:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties.
  • Some hosts offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, visitors guide magazines have discounts for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

How to select the best vacation rental in the Hatteras area:

  • First, have your family decide on the best dates and a max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Elegant Updated Oceanfront Home w\/ Pool & Hot Tub - Dog Friendly! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is regularly available on booking pages. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking the property. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about allowable breeds and types before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single event? Try a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents lots of issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's visit, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. Contact the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a great resource to find the best local spots.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
