Guests also have access to the community's private boat ramp and fishing dock, just steps away from the home.

The beach is an simple ~10-min. walk from the home with deeded access on Cutlass Ln and Merrimac Ln

Please note that this property has a pool available in season (roughly the end of April through mid-October) that can be heated for $400 a week.

When to visit & When to reserve a Rodanthe rental home:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Hatteras area. Book your rental home in Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers often offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.

  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a wonderful time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
