The ground level has an ample, concrete parking area. The first level has three roomy bedrooms (each with a TV), a bathroom, a laundry area, and comfortable furnishings. Hooked on Beach Life pays homage to the handsome ocean view location with a grandiose prow front design that accepts great vistas from the interior and wide two-level decks. The second level has a convenient bathroom, a screened porch, and a huge great room with cathedral ceilings, plenty of glass, and warm wood accents. The well-equipped kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining area can handle light hors d'oeuvres or family-size meals in style.

Rental booking tips:
When to visit & When to reserve a Hatteras rental home:
- In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are booked early. Booking your rental property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Avon. Book your vacation home in Fall or Spring to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
- Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guide magazines have coupons for nearby tours and attractions.
How to select the best rental home in the Hatteras area:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Semi-Oceanfront, Dog-Friendly House w\/ Private W\/D, AC, Ocean View, Shared Pool has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the property manager before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what configuration is optimal for your trip.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs applied to your contract.
- If there's a particular Hatteras attraction you long to visit, look for homes that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
During your stay:
- Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few concerns.
- Lock your rental home while you're out and about. Protect your property!
- Upon arrival, make note of any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your group have a terrific vacation? Many rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
