The Durant Station Condominiums offer spectacular ocean vistas from every property. All condos have private oceanfront decks, as well as sound side decks for viewing colorful sunsets. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Located in Hatteras, this condo is on the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. When to visit & When to book:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Hatteras. To find the best value, try shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, , and greatly reduced traffic.
- The earlier you can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Property management companies often offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. - Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
