Rodanthe Nights is like visiting in an oceanfront home! With a hot tub on the deck and impressive ocean vistas from nearly every window, this home is simply extraordinary!
This delightfully furnished home is quietly located just two tons from the ocean. Because of Rodanthe Nights' location in Rodanthe with no dunes, it is closer to the surf than many other oceanfront homes on the Island. You will appreciate listening to the sounds of the surf from all the windows!
Rodanthe Nights is currently undergoing a full remodel, set to be finished by summer 2025! The living area, kitchen, and dining area will be moved up to a brand new top level, along with a king en suite with a private bath and a sizable open deck. On the mid level, you will find a queen en suite with a private bath, a bunk bedroom with an attached shared bath, a recreation room, and the laundry area, as well as a covered deck with a hot tub. The ground level will offer covered parking and an outdoor shower. Stay tuned for progress photos!

How to get the best vacation rental experience:
When to book & When to go:
- Reserve your Hatteras vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Property management companies sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
- Many management companies supply Hatteras area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Hatteras area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Choosing the best rental in Rodanthe:
- First, have your family choose trip dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Quaint OBX beach house with sunrise and sunset views! has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property owner before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- If there's a particular Hatteras attraction you crave, search for homes that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
Tips to have a smooth stay:
- Get the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your visit, note any problem areas upon check in. Call the rental manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many problems.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can often help. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items on check-out day. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to drive future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your review find their best vacation rental. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
