Welcome to Pier House! Ideal for modest groups, this cute oceanfront bungalow provides extraordinary ocean vistas from inside and outside, with nothing between you and the beach but a sand dune. You are steps away from world-class fishing on the Rodanthe pier!

Single Level: Outside you will find an ocean-facing sun deck with ocean and pier vistas, a back deck with a gas grille, a sand path to the beach, and a foot wash station. Inside, the sunny Great Room greets you with ocean vistas, a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD, and ample seating. Show off your cooking skills in the well-equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, counter seating for 3, a dining table that seats 7, and a closet for the stacked washer and dryer. Off the Great Room is Bedroom #1, furnished with a King bed, a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD, and a private full bathroom. Off the kitchen are Bedrooms #2 and #3, which share the hallway bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a Full bed, a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD, and deck access. Bedroom #3 is furnished with 2 constructed-in Twin Bunk Sets and has a flat-screen TV/BluRay DVD and ocean vistas.

Please note: Due to the new decking and parking, you must access the home through the back bedroom door.

Extras: 4 TVs, 4 DVD players, beach access close by, ocean-facing sun deck, foot wash, books, games, traditional coffee pot, Keurig, crockpot, air fryer, and a gas grille. No Smoking/Vaping. Linens and towels are supplied all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep couches, top bunk beds, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are included. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

IMPORTANT BOOKING NOTES/ LEASE AGREEMENT/ ADDITIONAL OPTIONAL FEES: Please read the RENTAL AGREEMENT during the booking process. Immediately after booking you will receive an e-mail with instructions to electronically sign your lease agreement to complete your reservation.

Located in Rodanthe, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:

Getting the best value:

  • Summertime is high season in Rodanthe. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Hatteras trip dates to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers.   • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally available online. If not, reach out to the property management company before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited.   • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant visitors disrupting your peace. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all of your things. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property managers rely on great feedback to propel future reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other families will appreciate that you share your review find their best vacation home. Please be objective.
