OCEANVIEW Rodanthe - Mirlo Beach - Located on the soundside of Hwy 12, just one lot back from the ocean with simple beach access and four levels of decks with ample wooden deck furnishings. Set sail for your Hatteras Island vacation at SKIPPER'S GIG. Captains and mates alike will feel at home by the water with community beach and sound access and great ocean and sound vistas from every level of the home. Appreciate a dip in the pool or sunken hot tub, or challenge the crew to foosball in the game room with wet bar with refrigerator and microwave. There is also a bedroom with two twin beds and semi-private bath. When the ocean adventures are done, climb up to the mid-level and take a nap in one of the four bedrooms: a king master, a queen master, and two queen bedrooms. On the top level, you'll discover broad water vistas from the roomy great room. The crew's prepare will savor the kitchen with an island for additional seating, and everybody will appreciate the living area with TV/DVD and comfortable furnishings. Also on this level is a king master bedroom. For a little privacy and a bird's eye view, climb up to the captain's watch with private reading area and private deck. You're sure to want to drop anchor and stay another week at SKIPPER'S GIG. (Fireplace seen in photos is not available for guest use.)
New for 2025: Bunk bedroom will be converted to a queen bedroom with all new furnishings.
New for 2023: Create memories with food in the refreshed kitchen featuring new cabinets, granite countertops, and a sink. Wood floor has been added in the master bedroom and the observation deck. New bedroom furnishings has been placed into two bedrooms to help you fall into a good nighttime's sleep in SKIPPER'S GIG. The entire first floor has been re-floored, bringing that "fresh new space" feeling we all appreciate in a vacation home. Additional seating has been added to the first and second-level decks for ultimate relaxation and to soak in those ocean breezes.

- Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
