◦ Sanitizer is also used between each folding task to keep all surfaces clean

◦ After the dirty laundry in placed the washer, our staff disinfects the surfaces in the laundry area such as the knobs and the door pull on the washing machine and dryer

◦ Laundry bins that hold dirty and clean laundry are kept separated and washed between uses with bleach or other EPA – registered disinfectants

Tricks and tips to get the very best vacation rental experience:

When to visit & When to book:

  • Booking your Hatteras vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes.
  • The sooner your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property managers usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain discounts for nearby tours and attractions.

How to choose and book a perfect Hatteras rental:

  • Start by selecting your potential vacation weeks and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration your group requires. OCEAN view Premium Budget friendly Vacation rental. Minute walk to beach has 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking your rental. Remember that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to determine what is optimal for your trip.
  • If there's a certain Hatteras destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the owner about allowable breeds and types before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, adjacent homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Walk through the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition.
  • Did your group have a excellent vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
