SOUNDSIDE Salvo - No. Sand Dollar Ct. Make your dreams come true at DREAMER’S LANDING. Grille up a meal while the kids splash around in the pool. Or, comfortable up inside in the game room and watch a movie on the TV or spend the time playing games of pool. Two bedrooms share the bathroom on the ground floor: a queen bedroom and a room with two singles and a day bed. Take the tired crew upstairs where the king master bedroom with private bath sits with access to a huge deck area to overlook the handsome neighborhood. There are three queen bedrooms on this level, two with deck access. The final king master bedroom is located on the top level. Make cooks jealous in the kitchen with stainless steel appliances and serve up the meal to all guests or take it out and sit on the deck seating and appreciate an outside dinner. After dinner sink into the hot tub on the deck and watch day turn to nighttime. Or enter the great room and sit on the modern furnishings and watch a movie or read a book while your family enjoys puzzles and games in the home. You’ll be dreaming of returning to DREAMER’S LANDING the moment you leave.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Wind Over Waves, a neighborhood in Salvo. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

Get the most from your budget:

  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Reserving your rental up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • To get the best vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies often offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide magazine when you check-in.   • Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, A/V setup or appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
  • To make certain that no damages are attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. Call the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Be respectful. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a excellent time? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
