Semi-oceanfront, with direct beach access, this piece of heaven in Salvo has a private pool with complimentary solar heat, 6-person hot tub, 2 charcoal grilles, and a covered tiki bar with mini refrigerator, outside sink, electric outlets, a humongous bar area and rope lights to keep the event going into the evening. The first level features a game room with pool table and two master bedrooms. The second floor also has two master bedrooms and two additional bedrooms, all with gorgeous vistas over open decks. Windows galore bring light into the top level great room with vaulted ceiling, and a breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the roomy dining area. Dine on the screened porch or watch the sunrise from the oceanside decks. You may want to book the top floor's fifth master suite for yourself, with its vaulted ceiling, Jacuzzi tub, and sliding doors onto the deck. Finding your perfect rental home:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Summer months are high season in Salvo. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. - Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Practice the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Walk through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your group have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it.
