Windows galore bring light into the top level great room with vaulted ceiling, and a breakfast bar separates the kitchen from the roomy dining area. Dine on the screened porch or watch the sunrise from the oceanside decks. You may want to book the top floor's fifth master suite for yourself, with its vaulted ceiling, Jacuzzi tub, and sliding doors onto the deck. How to get the best rental home value:

  • To get the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection.   • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
