Two share a full bath and feature a king and queen bed, TV/DVDs, and gorgeous ocean vistas. The other two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and TV/DVD and one with a pyramid bunk and a standard bunk and TV/DVD, have simple access to the full hall bath. On the top level you'll find the king master bedroom with TV/DVD, oceanfront vistas and deck access. Unwind with a movie in the great room on the 55" TV with soundbar, DVD player, and Netflix. Savor a seafood supper in the oceanfront dining area, or simply swap surf stories on the breezy sun deck with ocean vistas, and glimpses of a shipwreck right off the beach. Located in Salvo, this vacation home is on the beach. Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site and Museum and Studio 12 are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Rodanthe Pier and Ocean Air Sports. Sticking to a rental home budget:
- Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in the Hatteras area. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.
