The best vacation recipe begins with this gorgeous, 3,000-square-foot, oceanside Sun N Waves. The bottom level has good parking, a carport, an outdoor shower, and is an painless walk from the beach. On the living level, the first bedroom has a pyramid bed and a crib. A convenient full hall bath is close to the laundry nook. The second bedroom has a king-size bed, a TV, and deck access to a porch featuring a private hot tub. The hot tub is accessible from the ground level stairs. The third bedroom has a queen bed and a TV. The fourth bedroom has a king-size bed, deck access, an LCD TV, and a full bath. On the second level, the great room has tall ceilings, a half bath, an entertainment center with an LCD TV, complimentary WIFI, and comfortable resort furnishings. Wide furnished decks, a screened porch, and a modest covered porch allow for full access to vistas and sun. Sun N Waves's well-equipped kitchen has a breakfast island and is close to the dining table. The fifth bedroom is a main bedroom with a queen bed, an LCD TV and DVD player, and a full bath.

Things to Know
The pool is open seasonally from April through mid-October. Dates are subject to change.
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to family pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Located in Rodanthe, this vacation home is by the sea. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore.   • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Waves. To find the best value, consider shifting your group's vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses.   • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to drive new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.
