At Durant Station, you'll savor a host of amenities including one of Hatteras Island's biggest private pools with an adjacent hot tub available from April 1 - January 2. The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a 50-inch enormous-screen plasma TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level. The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete.
All retreats are attractively furnished (there are new beds on each bed!) and entirely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with HBO, Satellite HDTV with DVR, wireless high-speed Internet for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your tranquility of mind.
Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some getaways have a stackable washer/dryer. A huge separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grilles and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? - Owners sometimes offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
- Booking websites usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Hatteras area visitor guides which often include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself.
