Discover Brooks Island Refuge. It's your unique sound-front vacation destination. Cross a bridge to the modest neighboring island of five homes in Brigands Bay. Four sound-front tons on the tip of Brooks Island deliver privacy, impressive vistas, and sound-front water access. Drive your loaded cars into the windsurfing bay where there's plenty of room for rigged sails, kites, and boards. Level one has three bedrooms and a full bath. Level two is splendid living with 10-foot ceilings and a complete entertainment package. The great room is complemented by a entirely-equipped kitchen, a breakfast bar, a formal dining area, a half-bath, and a screened porch with a hot tub. Look across the Pamlico Sound to the Canadian Hole from the third-story deck. Retire to level three to one of the two glassed-in main bedrooms, each with a bath, privacy, and tremendous vistas! Brooks Island Refuge is special in Hatteras because you are on the sound, but you have little close to you other than nature. There are many birds in the wetlands and there is a forested island close by. It is a peaceful rental surrounded by water and nature.

Please note: Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open Mid-May to Mid-October, depending on the weather.

• Walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
• Did you have a wonderful time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
