With more than 2,800 square feet of living space, this sound-front home is charmingly isolated on 15+ acres of maritime forest and wetlands. The top floor has a gourmet kitchen with a six-burner Viking range and an additional-huge oven, so cooking may become enchanting on vacation. From the open kitchen, living room, and dining room, you have outstanding vistas. The living room's big-screen TV with a home theater is great for movie nights, so bring your favorite DVDs. The first master bedroom is on the top floor, offering a bespoke, additional-sizable walk-in shower. On the second level is a den with a huge-screen TV, vistas of the sound, and deck access. This deck is shaded by live oak trees; it's a great place to kick back and read a book. The hot tub is also located on this deck in the screened porch.

Three bedrooms are located on the middle floor, including a second master bedroom. On the ground floor is another den with a game room featuring air hockey, a full-size video arcade, and a enormous-screen TV, creating a great place for the kids to have fun. Two additional bedrooms are on this floor, including the bunk room.

Knock Out has the best vistas of the Pamlico Sound and the surrounding wetlands; many locals claim they're the best vistas on Hatteras Island. Appreciate elegant windsurfing, kiteboarding, and kayaking from this location, as well as direct walk-in access with a grassy rigging area, board racks, and locking storage. There are two outdoor showers, grilles, and a fish-cleaning station as well. Carefully molded into the landscape, Knock Out sits at the end of a long driveway with direct access to miles of roads for running or cycling.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

When to visit Avon & When to book:

  • Reserve your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are high season in Avon. To find the best value, consider changing your family's Hatteras vacation week to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance.   • Be a good neighbor. Often times, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
