With more than 2,800 square feet of living space, this sound-front home is handsomely isolated on 15+ acres of maritime forest and wetlands. The top floor has a gourmet kitchen with a six-burner Viking range and an additional-sizable oven, so cooking may become delightful on vacation. From the open kitchen, living room, and dining room, you have fabulous vistas. The living room's big-screen TV with a home theater is great for movie nights, so bring your favorite DVDs. The first master bedroom is on the top floor, offering a bespoke, additional-enormous walk-in shower. On the second level is a den with a huge-screen TV, vistas of the sound, and deck access. This deck is shaded by live oak trees; it's a great place to kick back and read a book. The hot tub is also located on this deck in the screened porch.

Three bedrooms are located on the middle floor, including a second master bedroom. On the ground floor is another den with a game room featuring air hockey, a full-size video arcade, and a huge-screen TV, creating a great place for the kids to have fun. Two additional bedrooms are on this floor, including the bunk room.

Knock Out has the best vistas of the Pamlico Sound and the surrounding wetlands; many locals claim they're the best vistas on Hatteras Island. Appreciate superb windsurfing, kiteboarding, and kayaking from this location, as well as direct walk-in access with a grassy rigging area, board racks, and locking storage. There are two outdoor showers, grilles, and a fish-cleaning station as well. Carefully molded into the landscape, Knock Out sits at the end of a long driveway with direct access to miles of roads for running or cycling.

You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking, which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

Guests have access to the Club Hatteras Pool Facility. Additional details around this facility will be shared in your check-in e-mail and during the check-in process. The club is typically open mid-May to mid-October, depending on weather.

  • In the Hatteras area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental property.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the rental to reconfirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
