OCEANVIEW Waves- Sea Vista Dr. (Formerly SAND DRIFTER) - The fictional KOKOMO revealed a tropical heaven in quintessential Beach Boys fashion: as a calming place to get away from it all. This KOKOMO lives up to the fantasy. With the ocean just three tons to the east and the sound not far to the west, this six-bedroom/five-full and two-half-bath home is perched on a rarer body of water on Hatteras Island, a lake. Savor the privacy this natural barrier provides as you take a dip in the 15’ x 30’ ground-level pool or drift away in an adjacent chaise lounge on the sunny patio. A covered deck provides shade for a cooler respite and adjoins a game room complete with a pool table, intelligent TV, refrigerator and half-bath. There is also a room with two pyramid bunk beds on this level with an ensuite bath that the kids will appreciate.
On the first floor there are four more bedrooms — two king masters and two queens — each featuring a Intelligent TV and access to a covered deck with a six-person hot tub that overlooks the lake. A third king master bedroom with a hottub bath and Intelligent TV is on the second floor. It opens onto the great room, a cavernous gathering place accented by vaulted ceilings and walls of windows where the rising sun streams through in the morning. The very roomy, well-equipped kitchen effortlessly accommodates multiple cooks to whip up beach-favorite meals that can be adored at the eat-at counter or around the eight-seat dining table offering a lakefront view. A sizable Intelligent TV anchors the living space, but the place you may find yourself docking the most is in the upper-level tower room or outside on the wrap-around deck where the vistas in any direction never disappoint. Nothing, in fact, disappoints at KOKOMO unless you miss the weeks you want by not booking it today. (Fireplace seen in photos is not available for guest use.)
Dogs are welcome for a fee of $200/dog/week.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the $200 weekly fee will apply for each dog and will be added once your reservation is finalized.
