DNA has great concrete parking, two carports, an outside shower, and a park grille. This single story cedar shake bungalow has a generously furnished sundeck that overlooks the canal out back. Supervising kids in the yard or on the water is a additional. The new vinyl plank floor is beautiful and simple to clean and maintain. The living area is well furnished and anchored by a 55” Intelligent TV and electric fireplace. The kitchen has all-new stainless appliances, a new Keurig coffee machine, and a dining table. The good-size king main bedroom offers a good neighborhood view, a Intelligent TV, and a full bath with a tub/shower. Bedroom two has one double-size bunk and a flat-screen TV. The hall bath has a tub/shower and is adjacent to the stack washer/dryer nook. Bedroom three has one double-size bunk and a flat-screen TV.

Duckin Around is so clean and comfortable that you will be flying back for a visit sooner than you think. Not to mention, the local DQ is only a five-min. walk, and the beach is just a ten-min. walk from your front door so you will have fun days of sweet treats and sandy toes at your fingertips!

How to book the best vacation home experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Hatteras rental home:

  • The sooner your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Hatteras area. Booking your vacation rental in Fall or Spring is a great way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the high season.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitor guide magazines which often include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Hatteras visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Make a plan and pick the perfect Hatteras rental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Waterfront, dog-friendly house with lovely water views, pool access & deck has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible online. If they are not listed, call the host before you reserve the home. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your agreement.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find your ideal rental.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

During your stay:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the instructions to your phone.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking the rental when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
