Sip your morning coffee with a breath-taking sunrise & experience the colorful sound sunset from the warm hot tub! Grab the paddle boards or kayak from the closet, and take in all the sound has to offer from the water. Oceanside beach, coffee stores, eateries & bar are a short walk.
The space
Step inside this freshly modernized home with an open floor plan and beautiful vistas! This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath bungalow has a sizable broad deck overlooking the Pamlico Sound. 2 bedrooms located on the main level offer a queen bed and a full bathroom in each. One bathroom offers a shower, while the other offers a bathtub/shower combo. Upstairs, you will find a playful bunk room with 4 twin beds, a pullout twin couch, and a 1/2 bathroom. There is a intelligent tv in the bunk room as well as one in the living room. Board games and books galore.
The deck offers a hot tub, multiple lounge chairs to take it all in, and a picnic table underneath the covered porch. Down the patio steps you will find a heated outdoor shower, owners outdoor closet with 2 paddle boards, a kayak, beach chairs, and a cooler.
The water is fairly shallow and sandy just off the deck/pier so a good spot for swimming, playing in the water and launching your boards!

Vacation rental tips:
How to get the best value:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Avon. To get the largest rental within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular Hatteras attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have offers and deals for local tours and attractions.
How to choose the perfect rental in the Hatteras area:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and choose a max budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. New! Sound-front, Great Views, Kayak, Paddle board has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Hatteras rentals search.
- Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly rental. Request details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Often, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Hatteras attraction you love, browse properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. .
Tips for a fantastic stay:
- Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few issues.
- Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
- Record any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if there is a dispute.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You will enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an incredible source for finding the best local spots.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Just prior to departing, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, remember to take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your group have a great stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
