You are due a vacation this year and we can’t think of a better place to vacation than this modern classic Hatteras bungalow. With bespoke wainscoting, shiplap ceilings, modren countertops and tile backsplashes, this home is straight out of Coastal Living magazine. As you pull into the driveway, you are greeted by a covered front porch with craftsman detailing. The elevator does the heavy lifting for you so you can start your vacation off right at your private swimming pool with inset kiddie pool and swim-up ledge. Soak in some sun in the outdoor lounges or hang at the poolside Tiki bar for cool beverages and snack buffets.

There could be no bluer vistas than from the decks of this home as you relax in Adirondack chairs with a favorite novel. Water surrounds you at DUE EAST with the Pamlico Sound on two sides and a marina on another. As you enter the home through the entryway, two king master bedrooms are on either side, each with master baths with bespoke tile. Two more master bedrooms are located upstairs, one with 2 single beds and the other a king master suite with french doors leading to your private porch overlooking the pool.

The great room on the first level envelopes you in professionally decorated southern appeal. The kitchen is appointed with top of the line GE stainless steel appliances including french door refrigerator, microwave drawer and gourmet gas range. Meals couldn't be more delightful to create in this bright space. The dining area is near the kitchen where you can dine together at the huge table. Sink into the comfortable couch in front of the Intelligent home theater system after your meal and revel in the day's activity. Head your car DUE EAST towards Hatteras Island for a calming vacation.

About the Area

Located in Hatteras, this vacation home is near the beach. Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum and Frisco Native American Museum are cultural highlights, and some of the area's attractions include Frisco Mini Golf and Go Karts and Buxton Seafood. Uncle Eddy's Frozen Custard and 18-Hole Mini Golf and Ocracoke Pony Pens are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to book & When to go:

  • Reserve your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in Hatteras. To get the largest rental home for your budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, warm weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitor guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
