At the top of the stairs is the comfortably furnished and elegantly decorated great room. The living room offers plenty of space for everybody to gather around and recount the day's adventures. The entirely-equipped kitchen is opened to the living room so the conversation can continue to flow even as the cooks are in the kitchen preparing their specialties. The close by dining table offers seating for four with an additional four seats available at the breakfast bar.
There is no better way to wake up in the morning than by stepping out onto the oceanfront deck, breathing in the crisp salt air, as you sip your coffee and watch the sun rising out of the Atlantic. A conveniently located full bath and fourth bedroom with queen bed complete this home.

Tips to get the best Rodanthe vacation home experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Rodanthe. Book your Hatteras vacation home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
- Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for details.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitors guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking the best Hatteras rental:
- Select vacation dates and maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Oceanfront dog-friendly home w\/prime beach access, foosball table, spacious deck has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property manager before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or charges might be applied to your invoice.
- Is your group looking for particular amenities? Most websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the best rental.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
More tips for your stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents many issues.
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the property manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was wrong and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
