You've just found your new favorite beach home! All is Whelk is a semi-oceanfront home located only 100 yards from the beach and is conveniently located to all Avon Village has to offer. All is Whelk features 4 cavernous bedrooms, a hot tub, access to Kinnakeet Shores Community Pool & Tennis, and broad ocean vistas.

Ground Level: Ground Level Conveniences include a private driveway for parking up to 6 cars, a charcoal grille, an outdoor shower, a community pool and tennis courts, and 300 feet to shared beach access.

Mid Level: As you enter the home, you will find all four bedrooms with Intelligent TVs, a laundry area, and a covered hot tub area. Bedroom #1 is a King bedroom that shares access to a roomy jack-n-jill full bathroom with Bedroom #2, a Queen Bedroom. Bedroom #3 is furnished with a King bed and Bedroom #4 is furnished with a Twin and Full bed-- both bedrooms share another bathroom off the hallway.

Top Level: As you make your way to the top floor, you are greeted by gorgeous ocean vistas from all areas of the Great Room. Appreciate the Intelligent TV and PlayStation 2 in the living room. The chef's kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances, plenty of cookware to prepare today's catch, a breakfast bar that seats 4, and a dining area that seats 6. You will also find a wet bar with a mini refrigerator, sink, and seating for 3. A half bathroom is also located on this level as well as a pool table in the game room located off the dining area. Step outside to the furnished sun deck to watch the sunrise with your morning coffee or stargaze after a long day in the sun.

You will have access to Kinnakeet Shores Resort amenities. Kinnakeet Shores is the biggest planned community on Hatteras Island. This resort-style community features an impressive array of amenities including 69 acres of freshwater lakes, an outdoor Olympic-sized pool with extensive sun decks, and two Har-Tru tennis courts. All is Whelk has exclusive access to the Kinnakeet Community Pool and Tennis Courts located in Avon. Kinnakeet Shores Community Pool is open from Memorial Day to the last Saturday in September.

Linens and towels are included all year. This home will provide sheets for all beds and the beds will be made except for sleep couches, top bunk beds, and trundle beds in which case the sheets are supplied. This home also provides 1 bath towel and 1 wash cloth per person the home sleeps, 2 hand towels per full bathroom, 1 hand towel per half bathroom, and a bath mat for each shower or tub.

Sticking to your rental budget:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Avon. Book your Hatteras rental property in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.

  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a fantastic time? Many rental home management companies make it easy for guests to provide feedback. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it.
