Walk up to the second level and enter the great room with cathedral ceilings lined with sliding glass doors leading out to a screened porch and the rest of the upper-level wraparound sundeck. An open floor plan on this upper level reveals the living area, dining area, and well-appointed kitchen that looks through into the great room so the chef will never miss out on the family conversation. The sundeck has a picnic table for alfresco meals.
A cavernous loft is a additional just up a short set of stairs from the upper level. Spy on folks in the great room below and appreciate peek-a-boo ocean vistas from the windows in this third-level loft. Other features of this home include a fish-cleaning table with running water and an outdoor shower for rinsing off upon your return from the beach.
The main bedroom has ample closet space and a bathroom featuring a stall shower and dual sinks. Step out sliding glass doors onto the covered deck and listen to the rolling waves hitting the beach just at the end of the street. One of the guest bedrooms features covered deck access.

Getting the best Frisco vacation home experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- Summer is high season in Frisco. Book your Hatteras vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rental homes during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- Some property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites often offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Hatteras area visitors guides which include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Make a plan and pick your prefectrental home:
- Select a group lead, select your trip dates, and choose a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your family requires. Inviting, dog-friendly home with wraparound decks, washer\/dryer & outdoor shower has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before reserving the home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional fees or charges could be applied to your invoice.
More considerations:
- Add the host's contact information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Note any issues with the rental during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few issues.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can often help. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would at home.
- On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you have not forget any personal items. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to compel future reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.
