The sundeck has a picnic table for alfresco meals.
A cavernous loft is a additional just up a short set of stairs from the upper level. Spy on folks in the great room below and appreciate peek-a-boo ocean vistas from the windows in this third-level loft. Other features of this home include a fish-cleaning table with running water and an outdoor shower for rinsing off upon your return from the beach.
The main bedroom has ample closet space and a bathroom featuring a stall shower and dual sinks. Step out sliding glass doors onto the covered deck and listen to the rolling waves hitting the beach just at the end of the street. One of the guest bedrooms features covered deck access.

Finding the best Hatteras rental experience:
When to book a Hatteras rental & When to go:
- Summer time is high season in the Hatteras area. To find the best rental home within your budget, we suggest booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Hatteras restaurants and activities.
- In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your group qualifies for a special rate.
- Booking websites often offer their guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
- Find a copy of your local Hatteras area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, travel guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.
How to choose and book yourrental home:
- Select a group lead, choose your trip dates, and choose a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the configuration your group requires. Inviting, dog-friendly home with wraparound decks, washer\/dryer & outdoor shower has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking
- If your family is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.
During your stay:
- Add the owner's information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas during check in. Call the rental manager right away to report any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disagreeable vacationers disrupting your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have not otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
- Lock your rental property while you're away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a wonderful stay? Many rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
