The Durant Station Community Center is crowned by the original historic Durant Lifesaving Station tower, a rich piece of Hatteras Island's past. You'll find the Community Center ideal for calming with friends, conducting meetings, wedding events, and receptions, or simply appreciating the lounge areas, which offer a huge-screen TV, and a complete kitchen on the upper level.
The Durant Station complex consists of three floors, which start about 12 feet above the ground. The parking lot and walks are paved with concrete. All units are gorgeously furnished and completely equipped with linens to make your stay comfortable as well as memorable. All Durant Station condos have central A/C, cable TV with streaming, high-speed WiFi for your laptop, solid surface counters in the kitchen, and sprinkler safety systems for your tranquility of mind.
Centrally located on the first floor is a coin-operated laundry facility (which even offers an ocean view). Some units have a stackable washer/dryer (see individual descriptions). A sizable separate fish cleaning station, BBQ grilles, and outdoor shower facilities complete the picture. The Durant Station Condominiums are located in Hatteras Village, oceanfront on Highway 12. This home has access to a community pool, the community pools in our area are typically open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Community pools are operated at the discretion of the community HOA so the availability schedule may be subject to change without notice.

May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a discount.
