OCEANVIEW Waves – La Waves Drive. (Formerly, the Landmark) Sure to impress your family, JUST BEACHY has something for everybody to get the most out of their stay. Perched on a peaceful street in the heart of Waves, bring your group to the beach, lounge by the pool, or spend the day exploring everything Hatteras Island has to offer.

Unload the car, step into the all-floor elevator, and glide right into relaxation. From the outside, venture up the ramp towards a sparking pool with loungers and an outside shower to help you rinse off after a day in the sun. At nighttime, soak up the silence and the starry sky in the six-person hot tub. If inside adventures are more your speed, walk into the first level and find the game room. Complete with a pool table, arcade games, half bath, and a wet bar; game nighttime can be every nighttime! Also, on this level you can find a master bedroom with a queen bed and private bath and a pyramid bunk bedroom, ideal for kids or those who want to stay close to the competition.

On the second level, you will find the majority of this home’s bedrooms. All masters, a king and three queen bedrooms all feature private baths, TVs, and walk-in closets. From here, you can venture out to the covered deck, accepting for shady afternoon relaxation or a morning coffee perch. The home’s sixth and final master bedroom is on the third floor, not only featuring a TV and walk-in closet, but also including a private bathroom complete with a hottub.

While the first level is for those who want to play, the third is for everybody to come together. With an open floor plan, everybody can relax with plenty of space. Gather in the great room to watch your favorite shows or talk about the day’s adventures. The chef of the group will have a ball preparing the family favorites, eaten around the dining table fit for ten or outside on the covered porch. A powder room is even available to wash up before diving in. For those who need some peaceful, venture to the fourth-floor tower room, where you can sit at a table or take in the splendid vistas.

New for 2024: Room for more in 2024! The first level sitting area will be converted into a seventh bedroom featuring a pyramid bunk bed and a Intelligent TV. The first level bunk room is being upgraded to a queen bedroom.

New for 2023: Game nighttime is getting an upgrade this year! The first-floor game room has a new pool table, arcade cabinets, granite counter tops, area rugs, and a TV, providing the ideal local for friendly competition. Speaking of areas to come together, the great room has fresh furnishings, area rugs, and a TV, gather the group and stream your favorites after the sun dips below the horizon. Whoever is the chef of the family will adore the kitchen updates, including new appliances, granite countertops, lights, and newly surfaced cabinets. Take the food prep outside and light up the grille. Daydreaming on the deck or playing by the pool? New furnishings has been placed in both places, relax in the sunshine or gaze at the nighttime sky. These updates will have you feeling JUST BEACHY in no time.

How to get the best Waves vacation rental experience:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Reserve your vacation home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Property managers typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.

  • If there's a particular Hatteras destination you long to visit, search for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.

  • When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a excellent time? Many rental managers make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was amiss and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.
