Start your vacation mornings with one of the most beautiful vistas of the sunrise the East Coast has to offer. Then, a few laps in the private pool will begin to invigorate your day. Bundle up your beach toys and blanket and step right off your deck onto the sandy path through the dunes to the awaiting pristine beach.

The peaceful cul-de-sac location of Four Winds, in addition to its private walkway to the beach, offers you and your group the ideal vacation hideaway. Outstanding oceanfront vistas can be seen from the enormous top-level sun deck with hot tub and from the roomy top-floor great room with gas fireplace.

The interior of the home offers three main bedroom suites, one with a garden shower. A second sizable room with a game table, wet bar, and refrigerator will provide hours of entertainment. Everyone can relax with the six TVs, two DVDs, stereo/CD, and HD DirecTV. Savor sharing vacation photos and stories with your appreciated ones with the wireless high-speed internet available in Four Winds. Outside, you will savor a gas grille where you can prepare up the catch of the day for all to appreciate. The 16' x 30' rectangular-shaped outdoor pool will be appreciated by all. End your day with the family gathered around the great room, followed by champagne in the hot tub at sunset.

Located in Avon, this vacation home is on the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Outer Banks Beaches and Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Sticking to your spending plan:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To get the best value, consider shifting your trip dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and greatly reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Booking websites often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses.   • Make a record of any damages to the rental at check in, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be very helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Apply the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at departure. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent ratings to compel more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
