Blue Fish is the ideal, secluded hideaway for those craving a change of scenery for a while. Bright, open, and casual, this vacation rental puts you just steps from the canal for painless access out to the sound. The open floorplan combines a well-equipped, island kitchen with full-size appliances with a living area with a wall-mounted, flatscreen TV for streaming your favorite shows and movies. Step outside into your furnished, screened-in deck and savor the view, or head underneath the home where you'll find a picnic table for summertime picnics.

Things to Know
You will be required to sign an additional lease agreement upon making a booking which will be sent to your e-mail. You will not be able to check-in until we have received your signature electronically. Please contact us directly if you do not receive this agreement.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already supplied in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to family pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Located in Frisco, this vacation home is near the beach. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Buxton Woods Coastal Preserve and Outer Banks Beaches, while Frisco Native American Museum and Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum are cultural highlights. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your family qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.

  • Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.

  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would at home.
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental one final time and scan for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on great reviews to drive future bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
