Loaded with all the right amenities and thoughtfully appointed with accessible features, the eight-bedroom/seven- and three-half-bath LEMONADE has all the right ingredients to stir up plenty of sunny days.

Pack up your group (including the family dog, up to two are allowed) and arrive ready to be wowed. There’s an elevator right off the driveway to whisk bags, groceries and anyone who needs assistance to any floor in the home. Celebrate your arrival with a toast at the poolside bar before claiming a lounge next to the private pool for a post-road trip nap. Still feeling tight from the drive? No need to head up to the kitchen for that first cup of coffee ... a convenient wet bar with a drink refrigerator is just outside your bedroom door. When to visit & When to reserve a Salvo rental home:

  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To book the largest vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Hatteras attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Hosts sometimes offer special rates for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for program terms and fees.

  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can often help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Double-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, remember to take video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback.
