Pack up your group (including the family dog, up to two are allowed) and arrive ready to be wowed. There’s an elevator right off the driveway to whisk suitcases, groceries and anyone who needs assistance to any floor in the home. There is also a king and queen master bedroom, with the king featuring a roll-in shower and a roll-under sink for wheelchair accessibility. No need to head up to the kitchen for that first cup of coffee ... a convenient wet bar with a drink refrigerator is just outside your bedroom door. Two more king master bedrooms, one with a remote-control split-king bed, are located on the second level. All of the home’s bedrooms feature Intelligent TVs.

Vacation Rental Protection Plan: This required non-returnable $95 plan covers accidental damage within the home with a coverage limit of $3,000. It does not cover theft or willful misconduct. Finding your perfect rental home:

  • The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer is high season in Salvo. To find the best value, consider shifting your vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer warmer weather, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Hatteras visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain discounts for local accommodations and attractions.

  • First and foremost, have your group choose a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Semi-Oceanfront Salvo - Dog Friendly, Private Pool, Hot Tub, Handicap-friendly has 8 bedrooms and 10 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking websites. If not, call the property management company before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what bed configuration is optimal for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask the property manager before booking, and study your agreement! Additional pet fees or costs applied to your invoice.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking

Some things to know before you go:

  • Put the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your holiday.
  • To make sure that damages are not linked to your stay, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. text the property manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be a terrific source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
