Sea Lyin' is located just one home down from the ocean, making beach days simple as ever. As a guest at this Buxton rental home, you'll also be close to local favorite eateries like Angelo's Pizza and more! A short drive or bicycle ride further south will bring you to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and the WWII British Sailor Cemetery where you can learn more about the rich history of this favorite little sandbar.

At Sea Lyin', you'll be greeted by an open living area complete with a flat-screen TV and a daybed with a trundle. The kitchen features everything you need to prepare meals during your stay including roomy countertops and a gas range stove. With dining room table seating for 6 and additional breakfast bar seating for 4, there's plenty of room for everybody to appreciate meals together as a family. When to reserve a Hatteras rental & When to go:

  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental.
  • Summer is high season in the Hatteras area. Booking a rental in Fall or Spring months is our best tip for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of suitable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses.   • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take video of the rental to record its condition.
