OCEANFRONT Avon – Jollie Rd. – From the moment you walk up to the front of this four-bedroom/two-bathroom home and pass the Zen Garden, the currents of calm are immediately apparent. There are plenty of reasons to soak up sun, sea, and sky when you stay at BLUE HEAVEN, but even more reasons to refocus and reconnect to what’s really important.

Located just a shell-lined path away from the ocean’s gentle waves, BLUE HEAVEN is the ideal location for those who want to be steps away from the beach and close to everything else that makes Hatteras Island the ideal vacation destination. For those who like to drop a line in the water, there’s a fish cleaning table, along with an outdoor shower and a charcoal grille outside. Inside on the first level are two of the home’s bedrooms: one with two single beds and one with a queen bed that share a hallway bathroom. Both bedrooms open onto the home’s welcoming living space, where a wood-lined ceiling adds a warm ambiance to a roomy kitchen, dining area, and great room. Appreciate meals around the eight-seat dining table or at the breakfast bar that fronts a cavernous kitchen with stainless appliances and tons of workable counter space. There’s a TV in the adjoining sitting area to stay on top of your favorite shows.

The remaining two bedrooms — another with two single beds and a queen bedroom with a workstation that share a hallway bath — are located on the second level. Here, too, another full living area awaits to gather everybody together. There’s a great room with Intelligent TV, ample seating, a wet bar with a sink and another dining table. Plus, on this level, you can access an oceanfront deck to catch nature’s ever-changing show outside. The ultimate view, though, is one more level up in the home’s watch tower and provides a prime sightline of the horizon meeting the ocean to reveal countless shades of blue. Is this heaven? Getting the best value:

  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.

  • Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges might be applied to your agreement.
  • Are you looking for specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property.

  • Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
