OCEANVIEW Waves - Island Pines Dr. - It's PLAY TIME and there's plenty of fun for all ages at this home with ocean vistas, this handsome home features wrap around deck space, a impressive dining gazebo, pool, calming porch daybed, and a 6-person hot tub. Eateries and Dairy Queen are within walking distance as are walking and cycling paths. Located in a peaceful cul-de-sac, this home provides the ideal homey feel to vacation and play time! Beach access is at the end of the cul-de-sac, so no long walks with beach equipment. The ground level features double carports as well as hot and cold water outdoor showers. Splash around the pool area deck or soak in the bubbly hot tub. Challenge your family to a game on the outdoor bocce ball court or play a game of pool or shuffleboard in the homes’ lower level game room that features a Intelligent TV, BluRay, surround sound, full size refrigerator, microwave, and wet bar. Four master suites are located on the mid level, all masters have simple deck access. The gazebo is also located on the mid level, which is open on all sides to catch the magical breezes that blow among the pine tree tops. The top level features a combination great room, sitting areas, inside and outside dining areas, vaulted ceilings, Intelligent TV, surround sound, a half bath, and a master suite with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. For those that need to work or study this home also features a separate work desk area. There is plenty of space to sneak away to read, nap or play! A roomy, very well supplied kitchen makes for enchanting meal preparation and gathering time, and there's nothing to compare with eating dinner out on the screened porch and appreciating the exhilarating salt air.

*Please note that this property has a pool that can be heated for $600. Pool heaters, when pool heat is purchased, are set to 80 degrees, but pool temperature cannot be guaranteed.

  • In the Hatteras area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Summer time is high season in Waves. Booking a rental in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Hatteras vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your family qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.

  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

  • Note any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be helpful if damages are assessed.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings on check-out day. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to drive new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
